DNAngelDNAngel is an anime title with a rather complex storyline, great animation and a wide variety of twists and turns. The story follows a young boy by the name of Daisuke Niwa who receives the soul of a so called angel named Dark. Daisuke Niwa receives Dark's soul after his mother and grandfather perform an invocation ceremony, fusing Dark's soul into young Daisuke's body. A few hours after the invocation ceremony is completed, young Daisuke obtains the ability to transform into the angel Dark when his feelings are sent into a flurry. This transformation usually occurs after Daisuke sees the girl he has a crush on, either in person or in a picture. The angel Dark, has been know throughout the years as being a master phantom thief, who has the ability to break into anywhere and steal anything. So much so, that Daisuke's mother and grandfather send letters to the police to let them know exactly where, when and what will be stolen. Now young Daisuke must learn to cope with his new ability, another conscientiousness in his head, his mother and grandfather's obsession with stealing art pieces, school, love and whatever else life throws his way. This anime title has a few slow spots in the middle of the series, and for most of the way through keeps you wondering what exactly is going on. However, once you have seen this series in its entirety, everything is explained and the complex storyline becomes understood. The animation in this title is fantastic, top notch. The voice overs, sound, music and acting are also quite good. The only drawback to this anime are the boring sections in the middle of the series that seem to drag on pointlessly. All in all, this series was quite good. I recommend this anime to all fans of the science fiction anime genre.
