Romance Anime Reviews: Fruits Basket

Fruits BasketFruits basket is about a girl named Tohru Honda who lost her mom in a car accedent and her dad to sickness. But she is still happy. For a while she was secretly living in a tent by herself on the Sohma's property until she was found by Yuki the prince of her high school. But the Sohma family has a big secret. Twelve members of the family are cursed with an animal from the zodiac. When they come under a great deal of stress or are hugged by someone of the opposite sex, they transform into the animal he or she is cursed with. After she was found she started living with Yuki, Kyo and some of the other Sohmas that she met at the house. As she gets to know the Sohmas and they in turn get to know her, Yuki and Kyo fall in love with Tohru. No one Knows who Tohru loves, so you need to watch the anime to find out. The animation is beautiful, very clean. The voiceover talent is good, the music is a bit depressing but still quite good and the sound is good. The characters are very likable and very well developed, however I never really got to know a few members of the Sohma family, very mysterious. The storyline is also very likable. I highly recommend this anime to all fans of the drama, romance and comedy genre.

i definately love this book. i haven't read a lot of it but what i have read is pretty good. i have also watched the first and second episode and it is good. i don't like yuki's voice though.
