ArkArk is a visually stunning CGI anime movie about a futuristic world torn between two races at war. The Cerrians and the Storians. The Cerrians with the help of a priestess named Amyriel, realize the inevitable demise of their world and construct a massive robotic god called an Ark. This Ark was built to carry the city on of the Cerrians on its back and to eventually take both the Cerrians and the Storians to a new world. The Storians in their greed and lust for power, attack and enslave the Cerrians, turning the once beautiful home Ark into a prison and slave pit in its lower levels. With the prophesy of the priestess Amyriel's return, the enslaved Cerrians hope for their eventual freedom and life on a new thriving world.
This anime title was quite good, both conceptually and visually. The only drawback in this title is that on occasion the anime action sequences look more like something out of a video game than an anime title. Other than that to storyline is very original. The voice overs and acting is very well done. And the sound is theater quality. I highly recommend this anime to all fans of the sci-fi and action anime genre.
