GodannarGodannar is a fast paced action anime about a Dannar pilot named Goh, who saves a young woman named Anna Aoi. The purpose of the Dannars is to destroy the Mimetic Beasts that attack planet Earth. Five years later, Anna has grown into a woman and wants to marry Goh. But, in the middle of the wedding ceremony a new Mimetic Beast appears and Goh is once again summoned into battle. In the meantime, his bride to be hops on a motorcycle and tries to catch up with him only to take a short cut and fall into a cavern where another Dannar lies hidden. Anna quickly hops in the cockpit and takes this new found Dannar into battle to help her soon to be husband. The Dannar Anna is piloting and the Dannar Goh is piloting can merge together to form a Godannar.
This anime never takes itself seriously, even with its beautiful animation, good storyline, beautiful women and great voiceovers. This anime is just pure mature fun. The sound is great, just as it should be. The characters are developed quite well over time and become real easy to get attached to. I highly recommend this anime to all action and mecha anime lovers.
