Princess MononokePrincess Mononoke is the story of a young warrior named Ashitaka who becomes inflicted with a deadly curse and sets out to the forests in the west to find a cure that will save his life. Once there, he becomes inextricably entangled in a bitter battle that matches Lady Eboshi and a proud clan of humans, against the forest's animal gods led by Princess Mononoke, a young woman raised by the wolves. The young warrior Ashitaka finds himself in the middle of a battle that he cannot afford to take sides on. Understanding the pleas of both the humans and the forest gods, he can do nothing more than try to pursuede both sides not to go to war. This anime title has a fantastic lineup of voice actors including Claire Danes, Minnie Driver, Billy Bob Thorton, Billy Crudup, Gillian Anderson and Jada Pinkett. The animation is also very well done, as expected from a Studio Ghibli title. The sound and music are also very well done. This is a very well rounded anime with all the makings of a timeless classic. I highly recommend this anime to all anime lovers regardless of genre preference. If you haven't seen Princess Mononoke yet, you're missing out.
