Shadow Star NartaruThis anime title follows Shiina, a 13 year old student who makes a friend in the most unlikely of places. Shiina takes a plane flight out to see her grandparents and while there decides to go swimming with a friend. This decision changes her life. While swimming out to a shrine gate that supposedly marks a cursed area, she becomes very fatigued. After finally reaching the water gate, she swims under the water to get a better look around. Seeing a creature she has never seen before she is stunned in place and soon runs out of breath. When she awakens, she is outside of a medical clinic. Later that night after returning home again, she hears a strange voice calling her name. Following the voice, she is led back to the sea where she meets the star-shaped creature that she saw under the water before. Now with her new star-shaped friend Hoshimaru, she is led into a series of alien attacks and to a secret society of psychic children.
This anime title takes a very unique approach to a storyline. Hoshimaru, new the friend Shiina makes, contains almost limitless power concealed in a very innocent and cute looking character. As these powers become evident and the myth of the dragon's children comes to light, one can only question the true intention of Hoshimaru and others of his kind. This anime title is highly addictive, with great animation, good voice overs and a fantastic storyline. I highly recommend this anime title to all.
